Cellos for Change
Dee set up Cellos for Change in 2020 with Viola Migone, a graduate student of the University of Edinburgh, to create concerts and projects to raise awareness and fundraise for refugee and aid initiatives worldwide. Cellos for Change commissions new works for up to 8 professional cellists from Greece, Scotland and Ireland.
The 250 photographs in the opening concert are by Roo Zanou. They documented and captured the life of families in Leros, a small island in the Dodecanese, Greece where many refugees and asylum seekers arrived by boat from 2015 to this day.
